@168825: No. The calculations only included compensation that would show up on S&M's 2014 W-2. It would not include stock grants given in 2014 or 2015.
@168660: The humans completely control those monkeys' lives. Did you notice the cages? The humans could have easily punished the first monkey for rejecting the cucumber by not feeding it AT ALL. Humans have much more choice than those monkeys even if they are in debt.
Even the monkeys get what the deal is. All you people still at Q who haven't cut back hours and haven't distributed The Pledge are DUMBER THAN MONKEYS!!
The problem is, the vast majority of people are debt slaves and are not in a strong financial position that would allow them to reject the way they are being treated. Unlike the monkeys in that study, they have no choice but to continue to suck at SM's teat regardless of what they think of him because they need to service their debt and fund the lease on their mercedes. This allows SM to continue getting away with what he is doing. Everyone is too complacent to do anything because they simply can't, and the situation is not bad enough to spark any drastic behavior (such as taking the pledge or walking off) in enough employees to make a real difference
Does you calculation include the "retention bonus" received?
