Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Other regions take note. After the holidays teams will be combined and half of all TLs and ATLs will be "restructured"

As most of us know this is not a region initiative. It's the whole company, some regions are getting ahead of it and laying off ASTLS now. TL and ATLs are next after the holidays we will fight over the scraps hunger game style. Best bet is to plan on being out of a job after the holidays. Get those resumes out now and plan ahead

"I've seen the labor percentages for period 3 & 4. It goes down AGAIN for a couple departments." Typically labor goes down for several teams during FP3 and 4 due to higher holiday season sales. This is nothing new.

This doesn't surprise me. In our region and metro we have a store that has already combined Specialty/Bakery due to low sales, another has a Grocery/Wholebody, and a third that use to have a Prep Foods/Bakery team. Not to mention I imagine there will be a reaction to what our sales numbers are going to look like after the holidays. As for me I'm going to ride it out until they provide me the severance option. Then take the money and start a new.

What region are you in? Our store leadership in NorCal has told us the same. (The last comment sounds like we might be from the same store). I don't believe this is the end, either.

Depends on region and sales. More is coming regardless of either of those factors.

Our store leadership in NorCal is telling us no more lay offs for this region. So far they have let go of a bakery buyer, one sign maker, and the beer specialist, along with the MTL.

I find it very hard to believe more won't be cut down the line.
