John and Walter live in a libertarian, echo-chamber fantasy world surround by sycophants and cult followers. The board should remove both of them for getting Whole Foods into the structural mess it is today. I am convinced the reason for the pricing scandal in NY was directly because store-level employees bear too much profit responsibility without enough business/ethics education and accountability. That business culture goes straight to the top. If you want your stores to be full of entrepreneurs, don't be surprised when they make their own rules, too, and break the law at the company's expense.
