Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

BOGUS layoff statistics - just tell the truth people!

• Whole Foods has 431 stores and 91,000 Team Members - an average of 211 per store

• Layoffs were announced as approximately 1,500 which is 1.648 % of their workforce which would be an average of 3.5 worker per store.

"It anticipates many of the reductions to be managed through natural attrition" REALLY - In one U.S. store, workers were laid off on Monday without notice. Whole Foods called people in from vacation to lay them off. Their insurance expires today. Five people in ONE DEPARTMENT alone in this store were laid off on Monday.

Are there bulk buyers and frozen buyers in the MW? And how many other regions lost bulk and frozen.

One and they can apply for a Metro position, which they will probably get. So zero. The MW is huge and efficient. Most stores are only losing Marketing.

Then you have the Midwest, the largest region in the company, where many stores lost zero or 1 person.

"natural attrition"? I think they mean artificially accelerated attrition. Is that in the Quality Standards list?

Two positions eliminated in my store, both will take on different roles in same store. Two buyer positions also eliminated, but both will stay on in different roles. ,166Net loss zero.
