I'm seeing a lot of really disgusting posts by people regarding other employees or very hateful replies to people genuinely trying to help or offer condolences. Just keep in mind there are family members of those who were laid off today looking on here since the news does a horrible job at any reporting. Some of those family members might be their children, and the filth in some of these posts is the last thing they need. Please just try to keep that in mind.

I totally get that people are emotional and pissed off over this but there is a lot of completely unnecessary vulgarity here. Makes me feel bad that these few people that are bent on being lewd and gross and not to mention misogynist are making the group as a whole look bad.
No, this isn't a place for kids but that doesn't mean they aren't here. If I were a teenager, or even younger, and had clicked on this from the news source that posted it because my parent worked there I'd sure as hell hope none of the filth would belong to my parent, or that they weren't talking about mine in such a manner. Or even if it were my spouse, sibling, ect.
And, if I just so happen to be a competitor or just another business owner, looking at some of the posts on here would really make me question hiring ANY of those who were laid off because any of them could the the ones saying such awful things.
Just have some respect for your fellow human being who is in the same boat as you and don't drag them down into the gutter with you. Just because it's anonymous doesn't mean you need to turn into the vilest and most perverted asshole imaginable.
Despite some of the trash, though, I wish every single one of you the absolute best and sincerely hope you all find something else - and better!

Chesapeake didn't hire them this hateful. The culture of competition, stepping on anyone you can to get ahead, and petty gossip created them. That's how many people treat each other there. It's like any place you go, there are good people and hateful people. It wears on even the best employee.

It really shows the intelligence of those employed by CHK. Non of the other sites that are going through the stress of possible layoff have such filthy language and words. It is disgusting that CHK has hired such people!
