Could someone please explain the HR org memo because I can't make heads or tails of it. Does it mean that SC is out at FP? I hope so because that cackling witch needs to go. I think she actually enjoys the layoffs.

HR is definitely on the company's side. it's not like they are an outside agency. it's like asking the fox to guard the chickens. or chickens guards... or rubber chickens... damn
HR is not there to protect your job they are there to recruit and protect the company
And if you have a problem they are going to side with management and navigate the situation so the company can not be sued
They will help a good employee navigate a raise (maybe) but if your a squeaky wheel have a bad manager complain too much forget hoping HR will be in your corner
They will not push back against the bosses they are not there for you!
It wasn't like we were chums. She only called me in to chat with her one time. Other than that, just small-talk and e-mail here and there. From where I sat, she took good care of me. I see a lot of complaints about her on this post but wonder if any of you complainers ever sat down and talked to her about your concerns. Of course, tricky thing to do. But better than living with all the bitterness. As for her role in the leadership failures at FP today, she is certainly in a position to make recommendations. Only a select few would be privy to that. Anyway, I'm rambling. Just want to say she was awesome to me personally and I give her two thumbs up. I'm no longer there. Got tired of the lack of leadership and direction. Is she still there?
SC has always been a vindictive witch who got off on installing fear in U.S. Whenever she walk the halls of the campus. It has probably been the only power and or joy she's had in her life.
In all fairness to the cackling witch, she did the dirty job at FP for years. Weather she liked letting people go or not, I think not, Just my humble opinion, she did what she had to do to keep her job, which was to suck up to the pathetic management at Mattel. She sold her soul to the (evil) company store. I sat through many all employee meetings where she was an embarrassment to the company (HR VP?... really?) but many of us had the same opinion, in that she was out to keep her job and not rock the boat. I have no idea if she's still there or not, but if she is... she's a survivor and has done what she had to do to survive. She didn't pull the strings, but I also think she didn't do anything to help those good folks at FP.
I hope that old goat was shown the door. she's made people's lives miserable for years.
Guessing it won't be the last.. The new head of HR has a lot of cleaning up to do.
wish you could post the memo
