We were told that layoffs are a necessary part of running a company. But the truth about layoffs are that it is an excuse to get out of a financial crisis. Don’t be fooled. It is a company CHOICE! Not a NECESSITY! Even as layoffs happen, the higher ups clear millions of dollars in salary, plus their hefty bonuses. And that an outrageous merger fee paid to outside lawyers/consultants that eat up the company budget. In the end, layoffs have nothing to do with you, your talents, your brilliance, your ability and least of all, your future!

The sad thing is that the individual elements of Baker used to be run by individuals who knew what they were doing. OneBaker was the beginning of the end for BHI. Separate areas of the business started to be run by people who had no idea what they were doing (a bit like big government) and worse still the CEO hired individuals from outside the industry in the deluded belief that business is a purely financial enterprise. It is definitely not right that the 'incompetents' who dismantled BHI are the ones to benefit (just look at insider trading on BHI Yahoo Finance) while the hard working core of the company is swept away like leaves on a porch. You could hope that some executives would have pangs of conscience or remorse but the other inconvenient truth is that most executives are "triarchic psychopaths" (google).
Orale vatos! Your next! Putas! You know it!
Best thing to have been posted on this website. We the workers get praise when we have work and put out work but get the shaft once the company doesnt want to pay to keep you around yet the higher ups have salaries when would dream about. Yes they went to school and unfortunately we the blue collar worker didnt. That being said doesnt mean that they actually know how to do there job. In baker its not what you know more like who you know.
Gonna layoff some more tomorrow to cheer ya'll up
TRUTH!!!
