They know that but f they could not do anything!!
I bet they can track!!!
Don't forget to mention, here in America we're basically not entitled to freedom of speech anymore... lol
Big Bob, It's difficult for me to not notice when folks immediately interpret a few lines of thought as some kind of ultimate understanding. My rule of thumb in a nutshell, take a look at my own damn self BEFORE condescending & invalidating others. I wasn't referring to company's & who they fired for what they post online. It's always easier to put people into your boxes than to take them out. Similarly, when one is talking about something potentially negative, it's much easier to see that thing in them. Oddly, it's almost never the person questioning thenself. Amazing that people who are quick to point out what they perceive is incorrect most often are the ones who are incorrect themselves.
a company can fire people for what they say or post, even if they post it off work from their own personal computer. It had nothing to do with the freedom of speech.
Amazing that people who mention constitution most often are the ones most uneducated about it.
Not necessarily true. You can post peoples names in social media. It happens all day everyday. There is no law against that. It's called FREEDOM OF SPEECH. People mention other peoples names in social media all the time. They also do it in writing or verbal which includes gossiping with friends. Tape recordings of untrue statements can be used as evidence. If things are being said about another person that is not true then it's considered slander. That's the damaging part you are referring to. The court system would have a backlog of litigants suing over he said she said crap if people were allowed to.
No, they cannot track down what you wrote here. The only history they can see is your browsing history but if you clear your history before 10 PM daily which is the backup time, then only God knows what you posted. However, if you post something really damaging where you mention people's names, they can subpoena this layoff site to release the information as to which PC name or IP address. But if you are on a wireless router it is hard to trace because the IP address changes per location.
If you are so dumb and apathetic that you browse this site at work and on company computer you deserve to get fired yesterday.
Groovy. So does that mean NOV has a web browsing police department who are paid to monitor ALL NOV employee web browsing activities???? Never heard of this. How do those people get to keep their jobs while the rest lose theirs?
-Anonymous.. Not quite. ......You are so full of shit. Just because you are saying this, doesn't mean it is true. Prove it! Try Again.
This is false, I used to work in NOV IT Department. The could technically see your history of browsing this site, but that's it. They don't install keyloggers on your computer. Plus, we could care less.
Nope they cant track, especially if IT is so shitty.
That's why I use my coworkers PC when they're at the printer ;-) #WINNING!!!
I HATE THAT BIATCH!!!!
Haha, like they care
