Bring us back as contractors ?

For those who sank years of thier life devoted to and building up the company, could they be brought back on as contractors? To join all the many contractors who are still working happily away?

Have to wait 90 days to return as a contractor in the same job. Often more cash, no benefits, so a win-win if you took the package.

The term "contractor" is quite broad. The company uses many different types and they all get paid differently depending on the circumstances.

In our office they are paid around 400-450/day, plus per diem, mileage etc. Generally they are more valuable than employees, because in the long run COP appreciates having nocommittment. Expect to see them stay.

Contractors are much cheaper because they receive no company benefits (health insurance, 401k, pension, etc.) and also can be let go without notice.
