Last month we laid off 5 team members. They were let go with no warning. No one knew except regional. Today, in the South Region, buyers, supervisors, and associate store team leaders are told they have to reapply for their jobs or take a severance. In reapplying for their jobs, anyone who is affected by this can apply for any of the positions available. So if you have been a buyer for x amount of years, another buyer or supervisor or even associate store team leader can take your job and you are screwed. You may "step down" to a regular team member, but you will have to take a pay cut and you are not guaranteed full time. That is 9 years down the drain for me.

Today I found out 4 of my team members, some I have known for many years, were told that thier "position" as of today, no longer exists. They were offered severance or the " opurtunity" to apply for a new position with a pay rate comencerate with that position.
