Anonomous 167277, your story is eerily similar to mine. When did you leave?

I was labeled as high potential. Then all the managers changed, my new manager was incompetent and threw me under the bus at every opportunity, and my reputation went to crap. They tried to put me on a performance improvement plan based on 11 points of deficiency, 9 of which I proved to HR were bullshit with the other two being my word against the manager's. HR chose to continue with the performance improvement plan based only on the last two points, at which point I politely told them f*** off and walked out.
Point is, high potential doesn't necessarily mean untouchable. But then again, I'm a white male so I may be a disadvantage (ironic isn't it.)
And quality is being run by a cunt
What do you expect? The machine shop is being run by a purchasing manager.
Thats why machinist are on there smart phones all the time no work anonymous 163015. What do you expect a person to do who has no work on his machine? I dont understand how baker lays off people who actually make the parts that bring in money but some how keep managers who cant run the shop.
Lmao....its funny to say the machinist cant do there job but lets be honest what do the managers really do...not a dam thing...truth be told alot of work is farmed out but when you ask them about it they say that they have a contract with the 3rd party company doing the work and they cant pull the work from them. That seems smart farming work out and having machinist sit around and do nothing. Way to go managers.
From what I've seen; some of the so called machinists there are the ones running it into the ground. I've had a few jobs run through there and every single time they fed it up; were talking basic programming errors. Get off of your damed smart phones and pay attention to what the f you're doing and maybe the shop won't be run into the ground.
You cannot stop what's coming.
At the end it will look like city worker 15 manager watching 1 guy dig a hole. I really want to see one get walked out Greg did I say that out loud
The layoff announcement will be before the third quarter earnings release on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Right sizing is the term as Baker Hughes/Halliburton is not expected to have a recovery until 2017.
Im hearing october also
Heard layoffs at Rankin will be in October.
Hey it's all good guys. Our CFO is from AVON as in the cosmetic company.
You talking about Bob?
A large number of BHI managers are labelled "high potential' by HR (social engineering; gender, quotas, etc) and are deemed untouchable. This is one of the reasons that BHI went "down the tubes" ...Plus Craighead surrounded himself with a bunch of talking head executives who know nothing about the oil industry ..and "like begets like" ...the company is one big "unintended consequence"..!

Is it me or does baker really put waste of space managers...most of the time well almost all the time the managers or supervisors they put dont know shit about running a shop or department. Seems like they either have a degree or got some good ass dick sucking lips. How does baker not fire people after they clearly cant do the job they were hired for then move them or promote them. WTF.
Ha ha,,,,,,,,aberdeen ones worse
Only when Halliburton takes over. They will squeeze out $2 billion by totally flatten multiple layers of management.
Doubt any managers will be let go ever
