They are actually very clever - just not yet that experienced in the Patch nor feel the need to adjust management style accordingly. They will send in a team of aerospace engineers to look at every nut and bolt and offer suggestions on how everything can be improved and immediately start weeding the naysayers. They will invest millions in R&D and then start reducing headcount once the quarterly results don't show sufficient ROI until Sperry revenue targets are sufficiently maintained. If you can build a jet engine, you can build anything I guess.

All the managers have no experience much less even been on a Drill ship not oil field people. Do not know the patch
Twenty years at oil & gas in Avon ma 140 year old company they bought six years ago. Moving to Jacksonville they think because there ge anything they touch turns to gold don't think so they are disorganized untalented & aragance up the you know what. They will end up with a big accident because they have all the answers. They need to get rid of the yes men. Try listening to the truth you would figure they would come up with the idea with all the meetings they have. Enough with the bitter ness time to get a job. Sit back and watch them lose millions & millions.
If the managers are so bad since you have been rehired, you are free to leave. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
The recent Geared Turbo Fan engine by P&W cost $10 billion to develop and certify. But being a DD... now that's rocket science.
GE well Yes they are smart alright, smart in there own selfish way. A jet motor is not that hard to build people.
When you monopolize it you can control the market and squeeze out any competitor, and buy pay under the table congress men, and buy under the table military officials.
They have been out of control for quite some time.. but hey it not just them its all the big company's.

Stop fooling yourself.... ge is a great company to work for... it is just not making money because of the petroleum global economy... reality is job cuts is a must
Not stupid alright.... I just started working working for the company as a returned employee hoping for improvement.... so far the worst place... managers are the biggest issue
