Holy crap. You do realize that ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66 are two different companies in two different businesses, right? Wow.

Look at Houston..layoffs. Look at Alaska...layoffs. Look at Canada...layoffs. But of course not Illinois. WTF? I guess you have no clue. It is everywhere. Don't ever think your safe from a layoff.

Also, no, low gas prices do not mean layoffs when refining margins are good. Same goes for chemicals. Low feedstock prices (oil) are good for refiners. Please give examples of where I am wrong. Be specific.

Funny how layoffs are showing on P66...just when you thought your jobs were so stable. Gas prices lowering effects every job, duh, especially in the refiners and chemical companies. Oh, and since you think I am speading rumors look at the website....layoffs to follow. Eventually, it all trickles down. I have been in the business a long time and know the practices so prepare yourself smartie!

Do you even know what P66 does? Refiners and chemical companies are the only ones doing well right now. You should spend more time learning the business and less spreading rumors.
