Our last day on payroll is on Oct. 16, does that mean our last paycheck should be on August 22? I've tried contacting several HR Business Partner at the former BU I worked at, but none have returned my calls.

The last day on payroll is October 16th, that means you will get paid through October 16th. You should have received a packet from Chevron already and in that packet is the direct deposit slip for your last check if you want them to send it directly to your bank account. If not they will send you a hard check to deposit on your own. To answer your question though, your last check should be on October 22nd if you are paid on the 7th and 22nd
