Help with short staffed SDOS

What is the deal with managers or FSMS JUST refusing to adjust LCA or divert. Don't get it, just plain stupid ass fool's. Julie p in the east is worthless and has no business being a FSM. No wonder was not offered a job under the new structure. Let's see, closing down and sending drivers out with peak volume. Just keep digging that knife in..

When they find some semi reliable 3rd party delivery service(s) in your area they will drop you all with little notice. It sucks, but be happy you still have a job, for what it's worth (or not). As much as I want to say Staples is corrupt and evil, they are just like any other company. They know they are going down and it is just a blatant money grab for the guys at the top at the expense of those at the bottom.

This is exactly the same crap they pull in the stores. Bare minimum staffing, and constant threats to meeting impossible goals. All this abuse just to make sure Ronnie gets a bonus.

As I have posted numerous times STAPLES SDO are using the drivers to do the dirty work that the third party company are not able to do. They are delaying our supposed end date again first July, then October and now we heard December. I have been on a few interviews and as soon as one pan out I am leaving without a notice, have you guys seen or heard what the severance package is, well to screw us guys with over 10 years of employment is terrible, the money they offering is not enough , we went from 45 stops to 60 and last week a ridiculous 80-95 stops , get this the supervisor said we should be completing all stops.... lol they are a bunch of clowns and we as drivers are not entertained

Don't worry about getting the stops done just quit at 5 and bring them back RDL,Staples don't care if product get delivered in a day or a week they gave up on customer service years ago.

I agree with Anonymous 118028, Keep in contact with other drivers in your SDO and help each other out, just like we have all these years especially when we get overwhelmed on our routes, we get behind and another driver comes to take some stops off us, lets keep that same concept going especially after Staples lays off all the drivers that help build this company, who took time to build a relationship with our customers, going that extra mile to make sure they are happy. I hope the jackasses at HQ reads these, Staples' upper management is making a huge mistake, you think high paying customers and corporations are going to stay with you after this farce.

Just cant believe that after 11 yrs of service that the entire NAD would close its doors knowing it just bought a major company.

Yeah, well, I guess if the soon-to-be laid off drivers don't like going out on the road with peak volume levels, they can always say "f*** it" and quit. It will be one less severance package the company has to pay out. But if you are a driver in an SDO with a scheduled closing date, just keep chugging away regardless of the volume. Don't let the circumstances cause you to leave before you get your severance/retention bonus and the letter from the company stating your job being eliminated was a company-wide decision and not your fault. Just do what you've always done in terms of your approach to your job, and don't forget to exchange contact info with the other drivers in your hub for after the hub is closed down and you are looking for work. Fellow drivers should try to take care of one another (job leads) after it's over.

That's the Staples way. They'll tell you they don't need you and make you feel like shit, but they still expect you to give 110% until you are out the door.
