Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

With regards to bringing back previous employees...

Another shady and corrupt department: Compliance Department. With the lack of proper training and the none existence of solid written policies, managers hand pick a few enrollment reps who they decide to keep and the remaining are let go based on violating " compliance policies" that doesn't exist. There was the Matrix that they pushed a lot of ER's to make or exceed expectations so they could bring in huge profits and when the Matrix disappeared due to Dept of Ed's regulations, they gradually let go of high earning reps and replaced them. That's when profits tanked. Employees need incentives and Enrollment Reps keep the lights on. It's still a sales position no matter how they try to brainwash the newly hired ER's. A smart business decision would be to bring back their TOP PERFORMERs. They have let some of their best managers go due to poor upper management decision making. BRING THEM BACK!

Why would you work for a company that doesnt match 401k. No pension and would fire you for no reason. You have to sleep with your boss to get promoted at edmc. Koolaid drinkers think they made a profit. They still have to take a legal expense right down and are selling assets to make payroll.
