Anyone else hearing of this?

They are eliminating one manager position at my store. So all the managers had to reapply and interview for a spot. If they get to stay they may not get same dept as before. And the one manager that doesn't get picked can step down into lead position if available or take severance package and leave. What a bunch of bs.
And they wonder why outfitters are always grumpy and negative. We are walking on egg shells everyday. It's just a matter of time before they take the majority of the full time staff down to part time. Oh and yes full time dropping to 35-38 hours so we don't get overtime. Because Just a minute or two got us in trouble.
i heard theres a dozen people gone at just about every store. so twelve times 70 is over 800 people. dick must be proud. not.

Have not seen any restructuring of management at our store BUT they are turning us into a "big box" store environment, the last managers they have hired are from Lowe's and they have no background or experience in what we sell - how then do you provide "Customer Service"
Yeah came in today and blindsided ten hard working people and laid them off without warning.
Yep just heard about it today. They are restructuring the higher management and then it goes downhill to the leads. Its a corporate thing.

Yes they are taking some manager positions away and taking some senior managers away from stores!
