Be prepared for store closure after BTS.
Our tier 4 store just changed from 65 hrs to 71 hrs while cutting employee hours to 260. This not just for back to school but permanently. Well permanent until they close us or everyone quits. Part time will be 15 hours a week. So long customer service, good bye anyone on the floor, the only people working are cashiering. Cycle counts, planograms, ha!
Just found out our tier 4 store hours are changing again, permanently. For back ground for those who do not know, in march some tier 4 stores starting being open 11 less hours a week, and 125 employee hour where lost. Flash forward to this week, Staples is adding back in 6 hours a week with no additional employee hours. They just dropped us to 250 this week, no mention of next week. Their answer seems to be just suck it up. This is not just for bts, but will be left in place.
same game plan for Office Depot as well...
