RE Anonymous115293....You are an absolute clown.
Pisses me off hearing people saying its not dignified you're getting laid off simple as that if they told you by phone or letter would that be anymore dignified? No one is interested in you only relieved it was not their sorry ass give it a week and you will be forgotten. People need to man up we are becoming cocooned in this so called magical world were everything should smell of roses and we are somehow better than everyone else the reality is we are all just numbers pieces of shit free to be abused and used in our working life's nothing will change just move on/
That's just wrong to be done that way, what come around goes around Weatherford .
Just awful, no dignity whatsoever. What a total bullsh^t way of doing things. Ashamed to work for WFT.
Dignified my arse. Being marched out by security in front of colleagues is not dignified, more like humiliating.
HR do not make any layoff decisions, your management chain do that and unfortunately HR take a lot of flack and undue criticism when layoffs occur. The HR department is just as vulnerable during layoffs, and a lot of my colleagues have also faced been layed off. All we try too do is make the process as smooth and dignified as possible for all, not easy.
Let me see Anonymous114996 as I stroke my crystal ball YES I see 2,366 layoffs in Q3 oh shit sorry Anonymous114996 looks like you're included
To the HR Insider: Since you know the number of people cut so far, can you confirm if deeper cuts are coming due to poor 2nd qtr?
WFT a failing company, will a failing business plan. Would be pitiful but it's all self inflicted. Sinking, sinking....sunk
I agree 100%, best solution sell and break up WFT.
RE Anonymous114918---Harsh comments but can see your point of view. But even WFT in a very poor condition has a nominal worth too some of the bigger fish, and could always be broken up which would probably be the best for everybody.
You don't buy a fish market if you have no fish to sell Nobody's interested in buying a bottom of the league oil service company WFT will just keep cutting and moving around top management until one day they all find themselves sitting in one small office in Houston wondering what went wrong.
For sure WFT is a beached whale. More deep cuts and layoffs is inevitable. WFT will become a takeover target.
Look at the price of oil, Weatherford's stock price, and lack of leadership, more cuts to come.
Woof Woof, I agree
I agree. 2nd qtr #'s were not good so I'm sure more cuts to come.
Heading towards 20000 by end of year.
