The people who are in those secret meetings over the past few months are the safe ones in ETC ESD. We all know who they are. Certain special people in HR, finance, planning. Yeah the ones with the smug looks who are in with upper management. When they stop talking to you, like HR you know you're screwed.

Would likely suggest that those stating actual names of employees, should check the legislation around Slander and also think that writing anonymously may not actually end up being that anonymous if someone chooses to make an issue of it. First day reading comments on this website. Very disappointing to think we have employees in this company that can behave this way. Using this website as a vehicle to be unprofessional, slanderous, childish and absolutely pathetic. The scary thing is that some of these people may still have a job after all of this is over.
Wow. Calling someone like Kate out is so cruel. You can hate the process, hate the decisions, hate the outcome , but to target hatred toward Kate is unbelievable. This is a young lady who is not one of the decision-makers. She's asked, as an HR professional, to carry out the tasks being asked of her. You have no clue how many long hours she is putting in to make 100% sure every single ESD employee is represented. Is she perfect? No. But neither are you. You've drawn, and voiced, an opinion based on 1/100th of the truth. I'm ashamed that you are a fellow Chevronite. I hope no one treats you or someone you care about as terribly.

Yea notice that plain jane Kate McMullan in HR stopped talking to everyone once all this crap started happening. She's probably worried about her own job but I'm sure they will keep her because her own management has told employees that she doesn't know what she's doing.

So true....suck ups are kept. I am a former ETC Finance person who survived accelerated downstream but eventually was forced out after the ROM so that management did not have to pay severance.
All ETC Finance staff were asked to find ways to cut costs by at least 25%. First we trimmed travel costs, then asked to trim heads to bring costs down further. The higher PSGs were the first to be "encouraged" to retire. Next followed by those who spoke up. The quiet ones were spared. Those with the brownest noses were always safe and could do no wrong.
Do not believe a word of any finance person. Often times we were told to lie or deny anything asked. If we did not do what were asked or compromised our morals to lie to our colleagues, then we were written up for insubordination and put on notice for not being a team player.
