I can't possibly be the only person who thinks that the interviews were all show. They spent a long time planning this restructure but they are going to do interviews for two days and know who they want the day after??? I think not. It doesn't matter how you interviewed people or how many people take the buy out...if you're gone, you're gone... you can't be that stupid.

Boy you people are pretty smart! They had this figured out 4-6 months ago. The reality is that the company and leadership is so "lost" this seemed like the best way to break bad news to people. That's a sad state of affairs. You believing that it was done at random, or interview based is even sadder.
I agree. They know who they will keep and who will leave. Management made most of the decisions before interviews.
