Secret meetings are going on and plans are going to be put into place for next week. Expect to be notified with the option to keep your job in the new facility or hit the bricks. Harpold and Gallant already have it all figured out. The only question left is who's willing to move without a move package or raise just to keep their job? "Sorry boys, oils in a down market we can't offer you anything this time!"will be a popular phrase next week. Mark my words!
I don't know why anyone would want to stay on with this shitty company. When I hired in per deim was 36, then 32, now 25. Hourly guarantee was 60, then 54 and now it's 40. It takes longer and longer to become fully vested in the 401k. The health insurance real went down hill this year. I'm not far from retirement myself and no one wants to hire an old man so I'm milking this cow until it dies. Anyone with a decent skill set and with age on their side needs to move on.
