Layoff 21 % of the employees and THEN start assessing those left to see which ones are next to go. You just can't make this stuff up. The kind of keen thinking that has made this company what it is today.

Are you serious? Baker Hughes puts women before men in almost all retention and promotional considerations. Now maybe in operations/AMO that's not true but in ANY technology,
Supply chain, IT, etc it's rampant. It's actually quite a bad time to be a white male in this company!
There won't be much added to mine even though I'm eager to learn. Female and part time says it all really.
Yes there will be continuous layoffs till the end of this year because the oil industry will not recover till 2017.
Those numbers don't shock me. Look around at most oil and gas companies.
What happens to folks who left Halliburton for Baker Hughes? Are they automatically eliminated when the merger is final?
