If Corporate is watching, who should be fired or How do we save money?

Rather than complain, why not make a case for eliminating people or groups that are not needed or initiatives that could save money? Any ideas welcome!

Dear Sales,

Don't spend $5,000 in travel to a customer who is only buying a product for $1,000.

Prices and costs may vary, but this type of shit happens all the time. Simple math, bring in more than you spend and you have money left.

I wonder after this many months with vertualy continuous cutback and layoffs to production personal. How long it will take for non production positions to take a hit. Drastic cuts in Manufactoring will without a doubt lend to cutbacks in all other areas. Not excluding executive positions on down the line.

You can cut out anything you want to save money, I know let's turn out the lights and everyone wears a miners light on their heads. Not the answers at all. We all have ignored our base core customers

For large contracts 3 times now. Got some back the first time, few the second time. Three strikes? WAY back before computers we actually met our customers. Asked them what they wanted, if there was a problem we could help them with. No e-mail no text,no tweet. Just looking a person in the eye, Making a promise and shaking a hand. That's how it was done. WE ALL HAVE GREAT PRODUCTS TO SELL NOT JUST OIL RELATED. We have made talking to the customer on a person level obsolete and not important. WE do not need to cut and save anything, We need to knock on more doors to get sales. Visit them often and let know they are important to us.

Get rid of deadbeat managers, directors and VPs. Run leaner at the top you fools instead of laying off the worker bees that actually WORK. You cut such pitiful little salaries chopping support staff. Cameron is a joke.

Lay off the smokers. I am sick of hearing about that shit! That is not a cost savings measure and they pay more for their premiums any way in case you were not aware. There are many smokers that have never taken a sick day off in their whole careers. If there is a designated smoking area and you do not smoke then stay away from that area. if you have a large family or go to the doctor for every hangnail then you are costing the company more than they are. If you have appropriate ideas for cost savings then voice them. otherwise keep your biased remarks to yourself.

Use barges and trains instead of trucks and airplanes as much as possible to cut shipping costs. Orders have fallen so much that our ops guys should be able cover ordering parts sooner or hold inventory on consignment to make up for longer shipping times. Our suppliers are hurting too. They will work with us! Also, manufacture closer to the shipping destination. It might be cheaper to build in Singapore but not if you have to ship to US!

Go as paperless as possible, trim fat from all departments, get rid of all/most the people whose job is just to forward received emails to another person/group, revamp sales department, and please just let the help desk go

Make smokers pay more for coverage premium and establish limits of how close they can be to buildings. It would help reduce healthcare costs and lower cost even for those who dont smoke.
