Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Anonymous171871 - I think you might be correct about Katherine Stuewart. she can really be a B*tch, or Butch. I haven't seen her around much, maybe she got the deserving ax and not just us in the delivery side of the show. Staples really screwed us over, and I for one am not coming back even if ronny boy begs us to come back on his knees. The trust in the company has been blown.

Does anybody know for whom Katherine works, and if she is still around, her management kneads to know about her if she is that bad!

The only CS that I know of here in SoCal is possibly Catherine Stewart? Is that he you were talking about? She does tend to look out for herself and gives a rats backside about the rest of us. Her brother is a good guy though. He has helped me on a few occasions. So if one should stay I vote for the brother.

Get rid of the project managers! When these layoffs hit, out I the field, I heard of, besides me, that one Senior Manager, and a bunch of us Sr. Technical Analysts got the boot. What about people in the project management side? supposed we all didn't have enough to do, but what about people like CS, works in la mirada I think, who was recently promoted into project management? In all fairness a PM should have gotten the boot besides us.

It is really hard to believe that a company like Staple would lay off people just because of budgetary needs. But yet I was one of them. Severance sucked!

Get rid of the higher ups who have the salaries that would really make a difference! There were people out in the field who really held the fabric together of the staples network, shame on the sr. managers who didn't stand up for their employees and just handed out the firings as if they were talking about the weather. Just remember sr. managers, that if you lose the associates below you there is nobody to catch you when you fall. STOP SHOPPING AT STAPLES

I had heard rumors about this happening. It has been a shame to see all the SDOs being closed. It has been a shame to see that money for the company has been put over and above people, their families, and their lives. A few years ago when asked if I would have stated that Staples is a good place to work, well back then I would have said yes, now I would advise people to find another company where they can work and make a career, for as the last few years have shown, careers can't be made when trying to "Make More Happen"! All the best to the people whom have been affected by these poorly thought of layoffs!

Meanwhile, over in India 60 jobs just became available.
