U of U EMBA not any better than U of Phoenix

While U of Phoenix is certainly an awful degree, it's worth pointing out that the U of U EMBAs are the most pathetic of all. Next time you're on LinkedIn, check out how many of our fearless leaders (Suzy Q, Dan Wattage, Steve Ate-ings, and many of their Director cronies) got a weekend MBA while sipping mai tais on the company coin. First, we should think long and hard about whether it's the company's financial duty to pay the bills of third-rate business programs or degrees. Second, we should ask ourselves what they're teaching at the University of Yewt to produce such a crop of imbeciles, incapable of managing a basic P&L. Third, we should closely scrutinize why the same cohort of students (yes, folks, they all went to school around the same time) was chosen for select management positions. This ain't Harvard, people! Surely, this kind of Yewt nepotism has not served our company well! Worst yet, many of them are BOTH University of Phoenix and U of U EMBAs (the worst possible combination). Here's to a vigorous debate, trolls....

In Waco we back door them in from Kennedy-Western University. That and a buddy invitation gets you a high dollar job with minimum questions. Sooner or later the boys from New York are going to ask, why is PID getting more and more customer issues.

U of U also going to have a real tough time playing football this year in the Pac-12 South. Too many good teams. Gonna have a few too many losses for post-season contention.

To answer your question. Not sure what they're teaching at the U EMBA, but here's what their alums at L-3 are teaching us: cronyism, nepotism, and chauvinism. CSW is not a meritocracy. There is very VERY little turnover in leadership positions. It seems like the VPs and Directors have been in their jobs for decades. Not surprisingly, the place has turned into a corrupt, crony-based cluster of fiefdoms with feudal lords operating their own warring factions and preventing talented employees from rising. Over the past 5 years, I have seen more talent walk out the door than if I was a coach for the Alabama football team. The exodus, which was almost entirely voluntary, has seen our best program managers, engineers, and operations professionals go to other companies for more money, better positions, etc. Left behind, are the same sorry sobs, getting fatter in their offices while promoting their cronies to control the talent base with passive-aggressive fear tactics. Fire the Marxists! Let merit be the pathway to promotion!

As an avid fan of TDS, I whole-heartedly embrace this post. The Yew is over-rated.
