Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

Lawsuits being filed and some settled. EDMC/The Art Institute lied about career placement and continues horrible admissions tactics.

A mention of edmc doesn't matter as they have even worse practices. The game for unethical for profit practice is finally ending.

The article doesn't even mention any EDMC school.

Misrepresentation is a subtle kind of fraud and is rampant throughout all the affiliated EDMC schools. For instance, requiring students to obtain preceptorships from private non-compensated providers to train their students while the school pockets all the tuition money and then says effectively "so long sucker" too bad they will not

train you for free. The gall of these people to think that other people running small businesses should do this. They don't do anything for free and charge Ivy League prices at that. Please comment and if you could provide a solution or advice. It would be much appreciated for many people who are good students that trusted them to play fair.
