Just received a notice to be part of a class action lawsuit against Staples.. Hummm, pondering should I be part of this one too... No grudges..

"They laid off all the Sales and Operations managers that were part of the lawsuit" This is not entirely true. There are still many that participated in the lawsuit around. The non Stillman class was practically invited to join because it prevented further lawsuits for the lack of overtime pay claim. Since AMs went hourly Staples lost a source of free labor and has been trying to marginalize the AM position. Then they threw all the tasks of the Ops Mgrs on team supervisors to try to save some money. Though some of the sups were good and deserved to be AMs, many could not do the job, or just didn't want to do the job at around $24,000 yr when the Ops managers they replaced were making $40k+.
Who is eligible for this?
Hopefully it's for all of us who were part of the non Stillman group that got laid off as part of a bogus "restructuring". Come on. They laid off all the Sales and Operations managers that were part of the lawsuit. And now they brought those job names right back again.

What is this new lawsuit based on and who is eligible to join the lawsuit?
I received a notice to join the Stillman lawsuit way back when and did not. I ended up opting in as part of the non-Stillman class and got a nice chunk of change, but it would have been doubled if I had joined the Stillman class earlier. I understand they took risks filing the lawsuit and gained the benefits of the settlement. This time I have nothing to lose and would probably jump in from the beginning.
Looking at the way the company is run these days and watching Ron take an undeserved bonus while store managers that did their jobs well got ripped off from their full bonuses has changed that view over the last 8 years.
