Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Most Important Thing after Layoff . . .

Apply for UMEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS right away (assuming you are in USA). In Texas, go to a Texas Workforce Commission offce the same day. This is no hand-out as you are entitled to the payments. Having found dozens of jobs before and got laid off a few times as well, this I speak from experience as a professional job searcher.

To Mr Independent Contractor: don't get me wrong. It is my compliment. I was so amazed and impressed on the accuracy of your news. Please continue sharing what you hear, so that we all can be well prepared. Many Thanks!

I have no relationships with the executives or the integration team at all. However, I am on good terms with mid-level managers in many plants worldwide. They sometimes tell me non-confidential information which I share with you. I am as concerned and uncertain about future business downturns (=layoffs) as any other guy.

He puts facts out for people to see from reliable inside sources. Trys to be logical about these things and sticks to facts but facts aren't everything. We are not robots

To Mr. Independent Contractor: good advice! Also, from your previous post relating about the layoff in Houston today, it seems you have the reliable inside source. Are you related to Martin Craighead? Unless you are a very good psychic.
