Yes, it is true – no pot staring. They have already started cutting at all levels as of a couple of weeks back. The main people on the list is the oversize, and mostly dysfunctional, HR and Recruitment departments. It has been noted that some departments within the HR/Recruitment are so bad that they can’t keep the managers from looking outside for HR support. The HR Director supporting their corporate office has no understanding of the internal process and is said to be so forgetful and incompetent that everyone avoids them. It's also rumored that SLB is looking at buying the business and completely dissolving most of the non-profitable groups like Process and Compression Systems and V&M.

Inept leadership has been leading to the failure of this company for quite a bit longer than the falling Oil prices. Once you've reached a managemt position you simply put in a request for assistance. Another is hired to assist and the list goes on. Creating changes to show that things are being done even though they are not needed is a waste of resources. The top heavy company will surely fail in time.

None of the HR reps are competent.
Both HR and HSE soend their days creating projects and processes to keep themselves busy. None of it is needed.
Finally fired some of the fattest of the waste. Keep cleaning house, might get lean enough to get things done!!
