Thread regarding Office Depot Inc. layoffs

Another competitor putting a nail into the coffin.

School toolbox says it plans to put office supply stores out of business. Schools in our area are doing this program. Basically teacher tells website what supplies are needed. Parent logs on and buys items. Then they are delivered.... Wait for it.... Not to their home.... Not to just the school. ... But directly to the classroom... Your operating hours didn't just get reduced because you are a tier 4. It's because the only real season we have left is going to a different company. https://www.schooltoolbox.com

Who gives a hoot about the price. It's the color and brand the teacher requires.

Cheaper items and more personalized service delivered to your classroom - sounds like all wins to me. Also, I heard that Amazon was talking the Fed's ears off about how they support the merger between OD and Staples. Of course they do, less competition for them and Staples will have higher prices - people will do more ordering from Amazon.

Items are cheaper and its more personalized. OD is way to overpriced and dosent have the resources anymore to provide excellent customer service.

That's a great idea. Are the items same price or cheaper? I was wondering why it's been such a slow BTS in our store. I thought it was because Staples is offering better deals, etc.
