So I found a job in San Diego!!!!! unfortunately, my title goes back to being a "Senior Software Engineer" but despite a downgrade in the title from Staff to Senior., my total comp package will be about $209k/year in san diego, which is about where I was as Staff (Some of you staff seem to post that made more, but I guess for staff I was underpaid)......Hang in there folks, it's not as bad as people are making it out to be....Good luck everyone.

Here are examples of a BIG part of the problem at Q, that has brought this all up one yourselves. Staff level Engineers making $150K base? Employees are pointing fingers at the top, rightly so, but you guys are WAY overpaid too, with you base + bonus + RSUs. The $ train was gonna run out sometime. Don't act so surprised. Back to reality folks
Kinda low end. The salaries vary greatly at the same level, Q doesn't publish your percentile level vs grade unless you ask.
Staff with 125k base, 6-8% bon and 5% su in SD, ~often exceeds on the average.

What are you talking about? Base salaries for staff are around $140-150k. Bonus about 15% (20% for some of us better folks). And RSU grants / 4 . How is this not close to $200k/year....
He's another troll, look at glassdoor.com for actual qualcomm salaries in san diego, they are very low by silicon valley standards which is why they needed all the H1B slaves so they could skim enough money for the 500+ VPs to make a killing at that place.
That includes base + bonus + RSU vesting each year.
$209k /year as Staff in Qualcomm? What part of Qualcomm? I've only ever seen $150k /year max with my Staff level peers. Oh, and congrats for the new job!
