I'm considering doing this and dragging thing out to September to see if I can score a package if I can't get one in August.

8 weeks is nothing. My VP has been working from home for the last 6 years. Occasionally he asks his Sr.Directors for slides and shows up for SVP quarterly review. Any issues to discuss he claims that he is focused on other areas of the group that need more help. Since he says that to all his Sr.Dir., they think that he must be busy with someone else and the guy never gets caught.
8 weeks. That's awesome... Maybe I can try that.....That would take me all the way maybe into October......
I know a guy who took a new job and worked "from home" for eight weeks on his old in before resigning.
So what is the strategy....I'm thinking to take a 2 week vacation. And then call in sick for an additional week. That's a total of 3 weeks that can take me into mid Sept, where the possibility of me be a total flake has been elevated such that I get a GTFO package......
done that, its ok. go for it
