Rumors of BONUSES at the corporate office and also heavy grumbles of more layoffs in August at the school level. WTF.

You may not be able to control every situation and its outcome, but you can control your attitude and how you deal with it. Working for EDMC is like staying with an unfaithful person expecting things to change and ending up with an STD.

As a faculty member, I would actually give up a bonus if I could just have students who could read, helpful support staff and equipment that worked.

All bonus eligible employees were "guaranteed" 50% of their bonus this year.....I know because I was eligible prior to leaving for a better job and I got half of mine prior to leaving

That would be "against" their own best interests....

Welcome to the new world order. The 1% is alive and well and will beat their Bibles and pontificate about their moral authority to get as many as they can to vote and act gainst their own best interests.

Across all brands the presidents or campus directors get bonuses. They bonus based on how they manage the budget. So, if they are bale to cut staff and keep their budget in an acceptable zone, they get a "reward". Lousy business approach. Instead of making sure instruction is on par with competition or traditional schools, they'd rather worry about the money in spite of their reputation. No wonder these schools are all going to close eventually.

Welcome to the bottom, Bro. There is some kind of complaining going on from faculty at regular N.Y. colleges also. High paid administrators and adjuncts who qualify for welfare. I used to teach a class on economics and every time I tried to explain Marxism as a reaction to the crooked Capitalist system, students would rebel and go into "opportunity" and "American dream" mode. We are getting paid squat to help students get into more debt so we can all serve the 1%. Messed up!

Why do you think management is so giddy every time they make cuts? The deeper the cut the bigger the bonus! He, he, he, stupid little pee-ons, oh I mean I am so sorry I have to do this, you are one of our best, low enrollment, my hands are tied.

I can almost guarantee bonuses at corporate as they turned a profit this year after all the cuts.
