Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

Honey, I, and most EVERYONE else in Madison, have no idea how he sounds. He doesn't speak! He slinks around, eyes cast downward, ears pointed upward, with nary a "good morning," "hello," "how are you?" to anyone, including people that inhabit his darn office space. He is, quite possibly, the most UNpresidential President that I or anyone I've spoken with this about has ever encountered. Is that to say he is not intelligent? NO - he is rumored to be EXTREMELY intelligent. In fact, he is thought of highly, I hear, in BD strategy circles. Was he ready or did he even want this gig? I'd say, "hell no" to the first part and "go ask him" to the second - oh wait! You can't ask him. He doesn't speak. :-) Perhaps, there is nothing wrong with the Prez. Perhaps he has been called out unfairly. (Although, hey, you're the Prez, own it) Perhaps, it is current L-3 corporate culture. No matter what it is, it isn't good.

He sounded angry. Is that the way he always sounds? I wouldn't know, it's the first time I've ever laid eyes on the man. Too bad his extremely poor leadership skills and disdain for Madison caused us to lose so many hard-working, knowledgeable people.

I am reminded of an event which transpired many years ago. Our little division of L-3 was then part of the glorious GE company. A new leader was appointed to head GE Aerospace, and he prepared a video in which he assured all of us that the rumors were untrue, that he was not there to package GE Aerospace up for sale. Not many months later, we became part of Martin Marietta, and he remained part of GE.

Such Animus, Anonymous! I don't "think" management will do a gosh darn thing! In fact, "they" did as expected. "They" had a meeting, "they" spouted some crap that "they" hoped would placate, pacify and "shut up" answer seekers such as myself. Won't happen! I can't be placated, pacified and I won't shut up. Isn't is sad, though, that the "Company" line amounts to such bullshit. And, what does it say about a Company if their modus operandi is to "squelch" rumors? No matter, at the end of the day, I would bet my gorgeous right gam on the fact that half of what "they" said yesterday will prove to be false. And, if i am wrong, I will be the first person to post to that effect. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt-even the Texas Boys with Their Texas Toy(ing) attitude. If anything "they" say pans out as "they" have said it would, BellaD will be the first one to acknowledge that. But, know this, 108924, this ain't this little girl's first rodeo. I call "em the way I see 'em. No apologies.

Why do you think management is going to address rumors? In fact you act as if they have some kind of obligation to do so. If anything they are there to SQUELCH rumors and promote the company line.
