Many know UOP is a for-profit school and yes they rip people off for there education. To make matter worse is the requirements that they are cramming down the employees throats. Each Enrollment Representative daily duties are to get 70 or more dials, talk on the phone to potential student for over 3 hours, be available for incoming call at least 6 hours. get at least one student started on the application, one cleared through admissions and a recommendation daily. Reps are being burnt out more quickly and for what to start off at 40,000 a year now with a Bachelors degree. Also this company will screw the employees over as well. Once they decide to terminate an employees position they keep their final check. I know of a several people their final check for one to two weeks of work (40-80 hours) only got a $30-$100 check. Why is a larger company ripping off hard working people? This is the worst school and employer anyone can go to!

Department of Labor will like this
@836--nothing wrong with having people work--it's the constant calls to people who've said NO, operating more like a boiler room than an institution of higher education. Or the incessant asking of every student or prospective student if they know anyone else we can help, never mind we haven't earned that person's trust yet. UOP is a fraud--it always has been and will be.
Wow they make you actually be on the phone for less than half of your day; those monsters! Probably your first corporate job; go see what other companies make you do like work a full day on the phone
Come back and cry when you learn how to spell and for a proper sentence jlg.
Yes. UoP is doomed. If it keeps employing people who can't grasp the concept of vacation accrual (which btw is how pretty much every company does it), yeah, it's done. How did you think that worked? You get 2-5 weeks on day one... take all your vacation and quit? Is the earned/advanced listing on your paycheck every two weeks not clear enough? Come on now. Really? There are plenty of things to complain about at UoP, but this ain't one of them.
clearly you are an imbecile
Just talked about this with someone today. What they do is front your vacation time at the start of the fiscal year in September. If you quit or are let go before the end of the year, the vacation time you have used up to that point is not considered earned and they dock that time from your final check. So basically you need to work till August 31st if you expect all that time off to be paid for. Its terrible. UOPX is a company (yes Tim - company) that likes to think they take care of their employees but thats laughable and everyone that works there sort of knows it. People here at Phx are leaving in droves. And since they don't want to fire you, they just make life increasingly miserable so you leave (and subsequently dock the aforementioned pay)
