You go, 100904...... The fact of the matter is, that thousands of EDMC students and EDMC employees have had their lives devastated by EDMC and this is only the beginning. The victims here are 1) the students and 2) the employees. The students sign up for college because they have been manipulated by AR's who have been specifically trained (with scripts!) to get them to enroll. It is absolutely true - 9 out of 10 can not write a simple sentence with the proper grammar, spelling and punctuation when they start and when they graduate? NOTHING has changed. These students should have never graduated from high school. Most of the employees honestly think they are helping underprivileged people make a better life. They do not come to work every day thinking they are manipulating students! Call me naive, but I was one of those employees who bought the rhetoric. I could not reach every student, but I remember thinking that if I could just help to change the life of one student then I was doing my job. Most employees have no idea that they are a part of something so unethical. The company pushes the idea that everything they do is "transparent". The majority of EDMC employees have been trained to believe that they are helping underprivileged people make a better life for themselves and their families. Most of us stayed in the job because we honestly felt we were helping those students who had somehow fallen through the cracks. When EDMC turned their backs on us, it was absolutely devastating! When tough times hit, this company does not stand by the employees who have put their hearts andsouls into helping those students make a better life for themselves and their families. Everything is about numbers and every student is an opportunity to make more money. Setting unrealistic goals for employees is nothing more than a way to get rid of people who have finally realized what is REALLY going on. You give an employee a Performance Improvement Plan and when they fail to reach the unrealistic goals they are terminated. Admissions has always been a revolving door. It is unusual to see an AR who has been with the company for more than a few years.

God Blless those employees who have "kept their side of the street clean" and have poured their souls into the job and the students. It is quite a blow to have your life's work terminated because you finally understand what is really going on behind the scenes. Pure and simple : Enroll as many students as you can that are Pell Grant eligibleand trey to keep them coming to class. If that means that they sign in to class and leave 5 minutes later, then count them as present for the DOE statistics. When they fail the class for attendance and poor grades, pass them anyway. Make sure they graduate, then put all the pressure on the Career Services Department to find this person employment. The graduate still cannot write a sentence that has correct punctuation, spelling and grammar but find them a job or "lose YOUR job". Nothing about this a ethical. I really wish I would have realized it before I spent 14 years of my life feeling good about helping those who could not help themselves.

Such a hostile response. I was simply saying I believe in AUO and our leaders (from AM's to CD's to Mr. Gavlik). You are right, I need to help enroll more. I don't know why people on here are so mean. Simply put! I love this school!

Like saying the KKK is better than the Nazis. EDMC is corrupt...period. Argosy is no better than Ai and the trickle down will be felt in your division too. Again, STFU and get back to enrolling unqualified students so you can still miss plan while ruining the lives of unknowing students.
