Only 6 months till Office Depot is dead. Has anyone started looking or ound new jobs? I hear people from main office and in the retail stores are leaving in droves.

My store just closed this week. Office Depot is the crappiest company to work for. They now took all paid holidays away. The people at corporate still get to keep all the luxury benefits. If its an issue lets cut back there. When we merged they took 2.00 an hour away from my pay. I have been with OfficeMax 20 yrs. We were told we would get an insensitive bonus if we stayed to the end. Even our DM thought we were. Hr said three weeks before our close date we dont get it. our bonus was our severance.
I am glad to be done with this company!!
Office Depot will have the same fate as Officemax had when they merged. The store I'm at closed last month and I got transferred to another store but my hours were cut drastically. I don't have the same hours as they promised. I think they just want for us office max people to quit to get rid of us. Dont believe a word they say about job placement its complete BS. If you can get severance pay and unemployment benefits take it while at the same time look for another job. Dont trust this company they will merge with staples which is worse.
