Good reason to close all for profits down. Big money making scam! Go back to being a non degree trade school. Not a fake college.
It's just "kicking the can ( or should I say student ) down the road" Frkn genius...
Here's the thing. For profits take each other's credits. Traditional universities, even community colleges, won't take these student's credits. Really, these schools are the one's available to the Corinthian student not to mention, there best chance at finishing their classes is with the for profit institution. Durbin has a point, but it is impractical in realty.
Lets face it, most of these colleges like The Art Institute and EDMC paint a picture of accreditation to unsuspecting students that all or most of their credits are just as good as any college when if fact most are not. What do you tell a student who may not even realize it yet that they made a mistake going to a for-profit and by the way, everything you worked for and paid for is basically void by most real colleges and universities. "but they told me the school was accredited" yeah, and checks in the mail, call you later and I won't ____ in your mouth.
Looks like a worthy cause for CK.......
If I can get involved in this I will. The way the school closures are being handled is shoddy, to put it politely.
