Thread regarding Syntel Inc. layoffs

Firing includes onshore & offshore

Offshore firing is a 5-minute act. HR comes to desk and takes the employee along with. Then the ID card is taken and the resignation letter quoting personal reasons is to be submitted. Next moment, you are asked to leave the campus. Just 3 months basic pay is paid. Considering the percentage of the basic pay in the complete package, the employee gains about 1 month's salary. B2, B3, B4 & B5 are impacted. It is inhuman and arrogant. No one knows when the government/judiciary is going to save the IT employees who are getting the burns for the unachieved organization goals, which could very well be said as unachievable even before the start of the year.

If it had been a case of the company going on in revenue loss, it is a bit acceptable, but the case of not achieving the profit levels surely shows the agenda of these IT companies, who have the cushion of the government by not having them covered under the labour laws and employee unions.

All those who posted comments and are affected by Syntel's cruel action, lets contact and meet at some common point. Chennai guys have logged a complaint against Syntel. why cant we unite and do something ?

Syntel is seeing this Downfall after Nitin Rakesh has been promoted to the CEO...lots of rift and ego issues among top management at Syntel. Including Nitin and Rakesh the COO.
