Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Staples is a joke they dont care about there employees nor there customers I hope they loose there asses over all this!!

Not surprised at all. this 3rd party peeps aren't ready for all the weight of freights or the knowledge to handle this spoiled customers..

Just noticed 3rd party began delivering some of the orders around my hometown. In fact the other day I had something delivered to my home. An unmarked white moving van looking vehicle pulled up. I had no idea who it was. In fact if I didn't remember that something was being delivered I probably never would have even answered the door. Even our local small town office supply store has their own marked delivery van and employees with uniforms to match. Was a very odd experience and it definitely de-personalized my view of Staples delivery.

I just plain don't believe there's an even close to high degree of competency at the executive level anymore. These speculative callbacks are proof-positive of that. If true, it displays a complete failure at the level these massive decisions were made to generate a coherent transition plan, action it forward and follow through in a successful manner. If the transitioning of this single area of the business is indicative of future transformation projects, it isn't a positive harbinger of decisions to come going forward, particularly when the entire company business model is heading for some fairly significant changes in the near future.

The best thing staples did was get rid of me,why go back?I'm with the original poster.Take some pride in yourself and see what's out there.Don't do this unless you absolutely have to.There are many jobs out there,give yourself a chance

It's all about the $$$$$...you know the job...you know the co. You also know everything with this company can change so fast.....if you do go back.. definitely ask for more $$$$$and a little extra for the stress. ..know your worth!!!
