Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Get package today 15 years, nice little nest egg , into mortgage and get another job ....maybe not today, or tomorrow but i will get one. Whats the big problem guys . Paid off today and at some point you will be back in oil making money. So stop whining, sort your finances , and take any old job till things pick up. You shouldnt loose your house unless you bury your head in the sand, the banks will adjust, remortgage, change term length, all to keep you in your house.... Do you think they want another 10s of thousands of houses repossesed and set off a chain reaction for another financial crisis. ????? No They will help you but DO NOT BURY YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND !!!!! sort it now and the majority of you will keep your houses, get other jobs, and get back into the industry which gave you the chance of buying your house in the first place. I have 8 year left on my mortgage and the bank helped me no end , extend , reduce, and payment freeze to make payments of interest only. I placed the layoff package into the mortgage, cleared the auto loan, and cleard debts. They saw that i was proactive and they helped. Guys There are people who WILL help you if you move quickly. It has been nice working with you all firstly BJ Services and later Baker Hughes. Take care folks.. Please no wise cracks as it will not bother me but this is a distressing time for countless others . Please leave them alone.
