I think almost 1000 were let go, given our relatively big size (12K+ employees) this is not an earth-shuttering cut, but it was felt throughout the organization as each of us knew at least one person who got cut. Now, 2015 will be even more challenging and you can expect more and more layoffs as the industry matures and the execs try to squeeze every single penny that might be squeezed. So, job cuts will come again and they are here to stay.

Attrition since ceo announced layoff in March is at approximately 1500 employees. May dampen layoff numbers a bit.
