Thread regarding Heald College layoffs

Our CP was busy pointing out dress code issues

This morning our CP decided to tell a student her skirt was too short even though it was below her finger tips and she had stocking on. All of the women in admissions wore mini skirts and tight dresses but I guess they can get away with whatever they want. That's how our CP decided to spend the day...apparently there was nothing else to do except harass the few students we have left.

365 --Actually, you need a minimum of an AA degree to work for the state so you don't qualify. You can only work in an admissions department at a school that's about to shut down or wear a paper hat for a living--good luck with that.

975- If in fact is is so dysfunctional as you stated then one question for you and anyone else that shares your views- Why are you still working there? The old saying fits here: if you are not part of the solution then you are without a doubt part of the problem. If you really want to make a diffrence and a statement then just quit! Oh wait the same dysfunctional place you are working is the same one that is paying your bills huh? Maybe just maybe it is not such a bad place after all is it?

Some people amaze me- the same people that want to bash an organization that they have no issues going to the bank every other week to collect the money being paid to them, for probabaly not even earning what they are being paid are the same people who either can't find another job or are just so miserable that they find comfort in making sure everyone else feels their misery.

Without question we have not been told the whole truth throughout this long drawn out process but as long as you are drawing and spending your paycheck, try to do the right thing and EARN your salary! I would hope that your parents at least taught you that. Otherwise do yourself and especially everyone else at your campus a huge favor and just quit! You wmight feel better about yourself but most certainly everyone else will feel better at your campus by not having you around unless you once again simply can't find a job if that is the case I feel very sad for you. Try going to work for the State of California, I hear they will hire anyone that is breathing!

@230 agreed. I don't expect anything better from them, though.

True story, this happened at our campus today. Absolutely ridiculous and upsetting the students especially when they have not been adressed on what is going on. The CP also signed off on the whole of the admissions department goofing off last week so go figure. Our campus is so dysfunctional, more so than any other place I have worked.

That's what I thought but then our president decided that was the best way to use her time.

You obviously haven't been on a Heald campus for a few years as since CCI took over, we have not worried about dress code.
