Considering same idea in America. Ordering would be a modifiable version of E3 SLIM. Might not be a bad idea to separate the VPs from day to day operations of stores. Let stores run how they should be run and carry the items they should carry. Without the hastle of putting this here and that there without any payroll.

Will never work. They will never loosen the stranglehold on stores. Also, it will cut into bonuses and high level pay. It won't happen.Staples is failing more and more every day. If a big company can't make their stores work. It is very likely that an individual or an investment group can't do it either
I am sure they would still stick their noses into the store's business and tell them what they can and can not do. "Oh, there is some paper stuck behind a self serve copier, that's a fine!!! Your bailer is not dusted, that is a fine!!!!" They would find ways to tack on additional fees to the franchises to support the top heavy Framingham corporate structure.
VPs are Staples biggest waste of payroll. They all need to go.
