Thread regarding Oceaneering International Inc. layoffs

cashing out vacation/sick time if resigning

I'm aware that Oceaneering isn't obligated to pay out unused vacation/sick time, however I believe I have heard of instances where they pay out the employee depending on the situation at hand. Would anyone happen to know the details about this process and any requirements?

I myself have just under three years with the company and am considering an different opportunity that recently came up.

They aren't obligated to pay out sick time but I believe they ARE obligated to payout unused vacation. That is YOURS that YOU EARNED. I believe it's a law. Everytime I've left a company I've always gotten my unused vacation paid out. it's common. Sick time no...
