Strangest thing but since the layoff I find myself looking at peoples badges. I know some good employees who were let go from my department. I get a bad vibe when ever I see a Yellow temporary employee badge on someone from any department and I know the let go employee could easily be doing their job. If you haven't done so already try it for a day and you might be surprised how many there are and wonder who might be in your chair next time the layoff comes. I am curious to see the numbers also.
Not so much old news but waiting on new news. ConocoPhillips has yet to note totals for layoffs or losses to the analysts. Expect new news end of April (or delayed) at the First-Quarter Earnings Call.
2 hours and no response. I guess so then. Those who were layed off are gone now and mostly forgotten. Like someone taking a 2 week vacation you don't notice they are gone. Those of us at work are working. I hope your job search turns out successfully. We will probably have another lay off later this year. I'll check back then.
