Another announcement today... After one yesterday..,about more VPs, SVPs etc. This one from Geoff Walker about HIT. Just what everyone wants to hear... More people with big salaries and benefits in my place. Still no vision communicated. When are we going to hear about the vision?

That's all the emails you get there,............... I'm pleased to announce that Ba Blah has joined Mattel as SVP of Ba Blah WTF? Another one??????????? yet I can't even afford a paint op to decorate my product properly?
Then spend painful hours loading stupid information into a PLM system that's totally inept? PLM, people leaving Mattel :)
I did hear the executives on the 15th floor are reading this blog so no worries, they'll just hire another VP to monitor this site.
Prepare for the mass exodus when we don't get raises again this year because we hired too many VPs.
It makes me sick to my stomach that so many great people were laid off during "hard times" so the upper end of the company could make even more money for themselves. I wish I could have recorded the loud sigh everyone let out when the email came out yesterday.
Wow, is this why I was laid off? I guess I don't feel so bad anymore. As heartbreaking as it was to leave Mattel, this is proof positive that anywhere else is better than this.
All so difficult to take in...nothing is making sense.
I have a vision- employees should form a union. Not sure it would be better. But, it would show unity.
