Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Young and looking to GTFO

I may be relatively young but this is not my first rodeo and I won't tolerate terrible leadership - and the consensus I've heard among other young talent; they won't either.

I don't want to be a part of a company where veterans get canned like 'Logan's Run' and Brian Stockton gets rehired for more money to 'consult'. I'd honestly rather see myself get cut now than Mattel wage war on families who built a life committed to FP. It's disgusting. Brian Stockton should be ashamed of himself. Enjoy the extra 1.5 million dollars, Brian. You are literally taking that money from some poor mom or dad trying to actually work to pay for their kids college. F*** you. In a few more years all Mattel will have is a bunch of 'first job grads' who don't care about layoff-financial-bandaids, a few people managing them with their fingers crossed, and of course, the cronies in Cali at Mattel. Ride it all the way down, boys. Just like Kodak. You'd be surprised what people are capable of under great leadership.

How young can you be by referencing a 40 year old movie? OK, sorry......that was a dick comment. This site is awesome!

Just a friendly reminder that his nickname, amongst the cubical dwellers,is Bryan Stock-Down. Feel free to spread that around like creamy peanut butter.

Well said. And yes everyone I talk to, and I mean everyone is looking to get out of Mattel when they can.

And have you noticed they've been appointing new VPs and SVPs and EVPs left and right. Enriching a few at the expense of many. But they don't care they've got theirs. Sooner or later at their exec conferences they're going to have

to figure out that someone has to have an actual idea and vision to lead with. And how can they let Alan Kaye keep his job with all the talent that's either left or looking to get out. And the Bryan Stickton deal is unbelievable!!! Someone needs to write to the employees and explain that one. The nerve to hire him to come back and "consult" when he took the company down on his watch. Not only is he talentless he's humorless and devoid of any personality or charisma. Mr. happy never satisfied. He should just go away. Having him back is adding insult to injury and is further deteriorating morale.
