Big American corporations have no particular allegiance to America. They don’t want Americans to have better wages. Their only allegiance and responsibility to their shareholders — which often requires lower wages to fuel larger profits and higher share prices.

Yep. Exactly. Was working at Staples 'til I was "released" so they could re-allocate the money they were paying me in order to sponsor and pay for someone to come in from overseas instead of hiring someone already here to do the same work. This way they have me off the books and they are using someone from a company they have a contract to do business with.
